· The SY=SHORTYEAR/S option abbreviates the current year to the last two
   digits.

 · Using the SY=SHORTYEAR/S option from CLI :-

      1.>> NewDate SHORTYEAR

   Typical output:-

      Tuesday 06-August-96
      1.>>

 · Additionally you can replace SHORTYEAR with the SY command which
   produces exactly the same result as above.
